Manchester Central Convention Complex offers an award winning combination of conference and exhibition facilities that form a unique convention offering right in the heart of one of Europe’s most dynamic and exciting cities.
Manchester Central boasts a wide spectrum of flexible halls and conference suites with space for exhibitions ranging from 1,950m2 to 10,350m2, accommodation for 9,000 theatre style as well as state-of-the-art meeting facilities for 40-4,000, including a luxurious yet professional 804-seat auditorium.
The versatility of these facilities enables Manchester Central to host a unique mix of events from high profile, large-scale international and national conferences to trade and public exhibitions, gala banquets, sporting competitions and concerts. These, combined with its enviable location, easily accessible from all major UK transport links ensures Manchester Central is a highly attractive venue for organisers, delegates and visitors both nationally and internationally.
To add to the venue’s appeal as one of Europe’s major convention and exhibition complexes, Manchester Central has recently begun a three-stage investment programme costing in excess of £20 million. The redevelopment plans include a new and extended foyer area to the Grade II listed Central Hall, an additional entranceway to both Exchange and Central Hall, plus extra catering and seminar spaces.
The Grade II listed building was originally Manchester’s Central train station (1880 – 1969), before being converted into the 10,350m2 exhibition hall in 1986.
